Minimum amount for living in Slovakia

The minimum amount for living in Slovakia will again increase this year. Its amount shall be increased to EUR 210.20 for the first adult, EUR 146.64 for the second adult and EUR 95.96 per month for the dependent or dependent child. The minimum amount for living in Slovakia,  as well as the contributions and benefits linked to it, will increase by 2.5%.

In percentage terms, this means that not only the minimum amount for living but also the benefits linked to it will increase by 2.5%.

The minimum amount for living shall be adjusted as follows:

– one adult natural person – EUR 210.20

– another jointly assessed adult natural person – EUR 146.64

– dependent minor and dependent child – € 95.96

The minimum amount for living  will be adjusted as of 1 July of this year., but the benefits linked to it will be adjusted either to July 2019 or January 2020, depending on how the adjustment of the same benefit, contribution is determined by the relevant legislative standard.
